All the rhetoric of the Syndicate comes full force here.  This seems to be Nikki trying to convince himself to join the Syndicate.  A couple of images are present.  The "pain you feel" is the hate for those who corrupt society.  Nikki is quelling his own doubts by making himself express the feelings of anger he has toward society.  The "word" is what binds the Syndicate, its reason for being and its motivation to go on; it is all of them.  When the chorus says "speak the word," we hear a whisper say "revolution."  Nikki is now totally invovled in the Syndicate.
Be cause Nikki has to convince himself to follow the Syndicate, we see that there are two opposing side to him.  There is the side that believes killing is wrong and that violoence is not the answer.  This side is dormant for now.  The other is the wild, rebellious, violent one; the one controled and brought forth by the mind-control drug.  The US goverenment is compared to oligarchy and facism ("eradicate the fasicts" and "tear down their crown").  The Syndicate compares to a "people's" (communist) revolution ("educate the masses;" go back to "I Remember Now" starting with the word "Soviets").  Communism versus facism is an extreme case of the conflict between liberal and conseravative, a problem that has plagued human society since civilization began.
