The WIC Project: WIC, WIC-in, WIC-out
Chad's first, and currently only,
album. Ever wonder what music not written to sell albums sounds like?
Sick of hearing all that mainstream crap that passes for rock nowadays?
Wonder what results when a talented musician expresses himself with voice
and instrument? Here is the answer to all your questions. One
deep young man using his considerable gift for music to express the thoughts,
opinions, and feelings he holds. If you're after music as a pure
form of expression, your search ends here. The songs of this album
treat on everything from world problems to the deepest reaches of a very
atypical young man.
There is one major theme that pervades this
album, first introduced in the title: "WIC, WIC-in, WIC-out." Okay,
first things first. What the hell does WIC mean?! WIC is Chad's
nickname. It comes from Chad's full name, ChadWICk SwiatoWICz.
Now that that's out of the way, what is this theme? It's pretty simple.
It's a modification of the familiar phrase "with, within, without."
On the lyric sheet, each song is accompanied by a label (WIC, WIC-in, or
WIC-out). Songs labeled WIC treat on issues and/or emotions as Chad
sees them. Songs labeled WIC-in express Chad's feelings and explore
his inner self. Songs labeled WIC-out touch on subjects not related
to Chad or that cover very broad scopes.
